Hi I'm Glenn Nishimura, nice to meet you. 


My work with entrepreneurs, startup CEOs, and small business owners grew out of my own experiences (both good and bad) working in the HR industry. I saw companies flourish (financially and otherwise) because of strong leaders and great employees working with a common purpose toward a shared vision. That was the benchmark. All cylinders firing. But I also encountered equally intelligent and passionate business owners who were clearly struggling – having created dysfunctional workplaces with unhappy and unmotivated people who didn't share the same fire in their gut. They had employees, but what they didn't have was a TEAM.


I decided to commit myself to working with them exclusively. And that's why I'm here.


At a high level, what I do is known as People Strategy, not HR per se, although to some the point will be moot. It's also known as Transformational HR, Agile HR, and a host of other names. My work usually doesn't involve helping people with the administrative side of things – payroll, tracking vacation days, documenting employee discipline etc – but rather bringing a strategic focus to people, culture, and people practices like hiring and performance management, and aligning them with your business goals, vision and values. 


I absolutely love what I do, because it gives me an opportunity to meet, learn from, and be of service to some really bright, inspirational, and 'salt of the earth' people across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. That's something I'm grateful for each and every day.
